You can show the data labels or data values
within the chart so that the data values are more clear.
For
example, in a pie chart, show the data values within each pie slice,
so that you know the exact size of each pie slice.
Procedure
- Select the chart object.
- In the Properties pane, double-click
the Show values property.
- To display data labels for each slice of the pie, under Show,
select the Slice names check box.
- To show lines pointing from data labels to the slices they
apply to, select the Show leader lines check
box.
- To specify the data label format, in the Values list,
select what values to display.
- Hide does not display data values.
- Absolute displays the absolute value
of the data.
- Percentage displays the slice's percentage
of the whole pie.
- Absolute and Percentage displays the
slice's percentage of the whole pie as an absolute value.
- In the Position list, select the
placement of data labels.
