Convert Charts From One Type to Another
This procedure applies to converting charts
from one type (for example, a bar chart) to another type (for example,
a line chart). It also applies to converting charts from the legacy
Report Studio charts to the current default charts.
When you convert a chart to a new chart type, IBM® Cognos® Workspace Advanced keeps the properties from the existing chart if they exist in the new chart type. For example, if you convert a donut chart to a bar chart, Cognos Workspace Advanced maps your chart palette to the new chart, but does not map the hole size, because the hole size property does not exist in a bar chart.

Advanced converts legacy charts to the current default chart technology
unless you select the Use legacy chart authoring option.
Procedure
- Right-click a chart and click Convert Chart.
- Select a new chart type, and click OK.
