If you sort more than one row or column, you
can change the order in which they are sorted. You can also sort grouped
columns in a list.
Procedure
- Select a column or row.
- Click the sort icon and click Edit Layout Sorting.
- To sort a list column within a group, do the following:
- In the Groups pane, under the Groups folder,
expand the folder of the grouped column.
- In the Data Items pane, drag
the data items to sort to the Sort List folder.
You can also drag data items from the Detail Sort List folder.
- Click the sort order button to specify
ascending or descending order.
- To change the sort order when multiple columns are sorted,
in the Groups pane, change the order of columns
in either the Sort List folder of a group or
in the Detail Sort List folder.
Tip: Add items to the Detail Sort List folder
to sort items that are not groups.
