New maps in IBM Cognos BI 10.2.2

If you have reports that were created in previous versions of IBM Cognos BI, and those reports contain maps, the maps are missing when you run the reports in IBM Cognos BI 10.2.2 or later. To resolve the problem, follow one of the choices below.

1. You can continue to use the maps that are in earlier versions IBM Cognos BI. Ask your administrator to copy the map files from the earlier version of IBM Cognos BI to the current version of IBM Cognos BI that you are using.

   The map files are found in the install_location\maps folder, and they have the file extension .cmf.

   Tip: If you decide to continue to use the older maps, ask your administrator to delete the new maps to avoid confusion. The new maps in IBM Cognos BI 10.2.2 have file names that end with _10_2_2.cmf.
2. You can upgrade your reports so that they use the new maps by modifying the Map & Layers property of each map so that it references one of the new maps.
